A weekend of interesting activities has been organised by John Zannes, commencing
at 10 am on
Saturday 17th and finished late morning Sunday 18th . Accommodation is
available at special rates at Golfers Inn Motel on
the northern end of town.

Congratulations to David Steller, Rex Glencross-Grant, Dr Sarah Pearson (UNE)
and all the others who made yesterday's Armidale 2006 Science and Engineering
Challenge held at the University of New England such a successful day.
The event is sponsored by UNE, Engineers Australia, Young Engineers
Australia and Armidale Central Rotary Club.A news item can be seen

| VALE: Zihni BUZO, OAM Notice in Armidale Express 14 July 2006 - BUZO, Zihni Joseph
OAMOn 6 July aged 94 years. Loving husband to Elaine (deceased), beloved father
of Alex and Adrian, father in law to Merelyn and Erica, and affectionate Grandad
to six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. A private interment ceremony
will be held in Armidale on Monday 17 July. Friends and former colleagues are
invited to gather at the Armidale Ex-Services Memorial Club at 5.00pm on Monday
to celebrate his life with his sons Alex and Adrian and their families.

31st January 2006 after a long illness. A colleague who will be sadly
missed.

Congratulations to Alan Coates OAM, for
his being awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia in the recent Australia
Day honours for: service to the community of Tamworth in a range
of organisations related to education, youth initiatives and local government.
